Yorkshire Rose Events is a small, family-run business founded by me, Emily—a former psychology teacher with a passion for creativity and organization. Based in Darlington, I made the leap from teaching to entrepreneurship after dreaming of running my own business, and thus, Yorkshire Rose Events was born.
Our mission is to create memorable, personalized events that bring a warm, personal touch to every occasion. We pride ourselves on valuing a healthy work-life balance, prioritizing mental health, and building meaningful, long-lasting relationships with our clients. As a proud mother to a lively two-year-old, I balance my love for coffee and rugby with the daily demands of motherhood and running a growing business.
At Yorkshire Rose Events, we specialize in bespoke event planning with a hands-on approach that only a small business can provide. Whether it’s a festival, corporate event, or private party, we are dedicated to turning your vision into reality with care and attention to detail. Our team is focused on sustainability, aiming to design, create, and execute complete solutions that align with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Worried about planning? Don’t be! We can take care of everything from finding venues and décor to sourcing suppliers, lighting, sound, invitations, and dealing with paperwork. During our initial consultation, we work together to create a mood board that reflects your vision, breaking it down into manageable aspects that align with your budget. We also offer in-person support during your event to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Every time we receive a new event request, we carefully consider which suppliers best suit the budget and type of event. My mindful approach ensures that we select local, ethical, and sustainable suppliers, engaging in meaningful conversations that leave everyone feeling more educated about sustainable practices.

My parents, Alicia and Robert, support the business through finance, budget management, and logistics, including building props for events.
